I am trying to import a STEP file of a diecast box which I then want to work with (by making holes in it). However I am asking for help for the first time because I want to work with imported STEP files. I have a little background in SolidWorks so it has been fairly easy to grasp the basic concepts of FreeCAD. It performs remarkably for something not yet at a '1.0' release. First off, I am very pleased to have found FreeCAD - what a great project.
